Starting a Lawn Care Business

Starting a Lawn Care Business

Starting a lawn care business can be a creative initiative that leads to many further rewards in life. When a person is in the planning stages of a new business, it is like preparation for vacation or a wedding because sometimes the process is full of idealism and optimism. And that is healthy because when you set out to start your own lawn care business, it is up to you to demonstrate that confidence and optimism that you know how to make this new business spring to life and how to make it a success every step of the way.

Starting a Lawn Care Business with optimism

So when you read the title to this article, you may have thought it was unnecessarily pessimistic. It isn’t. You can anticipate trouble that may come to your lawn care business and still have an ambitious, aggressive and optimistic plan for growth and success. In fact, making plans for when trouble arises is part of your success plan because you are acknowledging that problem will come, but you are getting ready for it, so it does not derail your plan for success.

Starting a Lawn Care Business with insurance

Insurance is an excellent example of planning for trouble even though you are living your life with a plan for success. We live in a world where things go wrong. It takes maturity and experience to start a new lawn care business and that maturity and experience things go wrong. By having a contingency plan to go to when there are problems, you take the teeth out of trouble because it is anticipated. When issues arise, you directly execute your plan and accommodate the difficulty, so your ability to provide service to your customers is undisturbed.

Starting a Lawn Care Business with gusto

After all, lawn care is a very physical business. You have workers and machines at work, and things can go wrong. You work out of doors where weather can get in the way. You work with nature and just about anything can happen even when working on the yard of the most civilized yard in town. Nature doesn’t care how refined the grounds are so you should be ready if nature decides to get underfoot.

Starting a Lawn Care Business and preventing failure

Equipment failure is not something that might happen in the life of any lawn care business. It will happen. So be prepared to perform emergency repairs while on a job site. It is also a good idea to go to each job site with back up equipment. That may mean having a reserve lawn mower and other tools so that if a breakdown threatens the crew’s ability to complete the job, you can pull the damaged equipment off of the job and put your reserve equipment into finish the project.

Being prepared for weather interruptions is a matter of knowing your schedule and being ready if you have to bring crews in during a sudden rainstorm. You should have a contingency plan with your customers so if you cannot perform their yard care on a specific day, you can make adjustments to the schedule to get the job done as soon as the weather clears up.

Starting a Lawn Care Business with staff members

You can even be prepared for an injury to a worker. First of all, hire experienced workers who know how to work with the equipment, so the chances of injury are small. But keep proper first aid equipment on hand and either you become knowledgeable in first aid and CPR or make sure someone is so if there is a medical need on the job, you can respond to it. You should even go over emergency preparedness with your crews so, God forbid, if someone is injured so severely that they need to go to the clinic or hospital, you have someone delegated to care for the injured worker while the rest of the crew finishes the job. Its all part of being prepared for when trouble comes so trouble can come and go and not disturb the ongoing success of your business.

Vitamin C as a Supplement to Prevent Illness

Vitamin C as a supplement to prevent illness

Vitamin C as a supplement to avoid illness are really common and taught every day to people everywhere such as the prevention of colds and the flues. However, what most people don’t know is that Vitamin C supplements can also help with other severe illnesses like cancer, lung disease, and heart disease. In fact, new studies from many of the leading medical institutions in the world continually indicate that Vitamin C, even in low doses, can give your life expectancy a significant boost.

Most people may think that they get enough Vitamin C from the foods that they eat like vegetables and fruits, but they don’t. In fact, one-quarter of Americans don’t get the recommended daily amount of 60 milligrams of Vitamin C that their cells need to perform essential bodily functions. The National Cancer Center urges people to eat at least five servings of fruits and vegetables daily, which would supply from 200 to 300 milligrams of Vitamin C; but only 9% of the American population accomplishes this. So, there are millions of people who are leaving themselves open to the possibility of illnesses that could be prevented by Vitamin C supplements.

Vitamin C as a supplement to prevent illness explained

Vitamin C supplements are potent, water-soluble antioxidants that trap and disarm free radicals in the watery part of your body’s tissue. Vitamin C supplements also work to help replenish Vitamin E and help enzymes to destroy other free radicals in your system. Free radicals are the toxic molecules that eat away at healthy cells and turn them defective, which over time can cause more serious diseases like cancer.

Over one hundred and twenty studies show that Vitamin C supplements work as a form of immunization against cancer. It was found that people who consistently took Vitamin C supplements were only half as likely to develop cancer as those who didn’t. Vitamin C supplements were found to be particularly effective on cancers of the stomach, esophagus, pancreas, cervix, rectum, and breast. To effectively prevent cancer, doctors in one study recommended taking 2,000 to 3,000 milligrams of Vitamin C supplements per day. This is far above the suggested daily dose recommended by the National Cancer Center, so anyone attempting this kind of regimen should talk to their doctor first.

Vitamin C as a supplement to prevent illness is better than cure

Vitamin C supplements taken on a daily basis can prevent other kinds of conditions like heart disease. The correct doses can suppress high blood pressure, raise good-type HDL cholesterol, clean deposits form artery walls, and reduce the chances of heart-attack-inducing vascular spasms. Vitamin C supplements taken on a regular basis can also reduce breathing problems like asthma, prevent periodontal disease, and improve the immune system.

Improving the immune system is the first thing that comes to mind for most people when they think about taking Vitamin C supplements. Of course, Vitamin C supplements do a great job of this, in addition to working on all of the other maladies they prevent. The way that Vitamin C supplements work with your immune system is to gear up your body to fight infectious bacteria and viruses. Vitamin C supplements do this by boosting the white blood cells and raising the body’s level of antioxidants. Taking 500 milligrams of Vitamin C supplements per day during flu and cold season may prevent or at least lessen the likelihood of being ill during this time.

Vitamin C as a supplement to prevent illness naturally

Vitamin C supplements work on so many levels to prevent disease. Although Vitamin C may be plentiful in the foods that you eat, it’s really the supplements that put you over the top when it comes to preventing disease and increasing the length and quality of life. In fact, Vitamin C supplements have been shown to help people who take them live about 6.3 years longer.

Using Vitamin B as a Supplement

Using Vitamin B as a Supplement

Using vitamin B as a supplement two B vitamins, in particular, can prevent illnesses and help you lead a healthier life. These are vitamin B12 and vitamin B6. While many people are aware of the positive benefits of vitamins C and E, fewer people know about the strength of these two B vitamins. However, the fantastic thing about these two B vitamins is that they are now being proven to help specifically prevent deterioration of both your brain and your immune system. So vitamin B12 and vitamin B6 are definitely two supplements that will complement the other vitamins you may be taking.

Using vitamin B as a supplement with moderation

This is especially true when it comes to brain function. As you age, your stomach progressively secretes fewer acids that are necessary to absorb vitamin B12 from food into your system. A vitamin B12 deficiency can develop over the years and may start affecting the brain and the nervous system. If this occurs, dementia and other psychiatric disorders are likely to be the result. Since recent studies have shown that at least 20% of people over 60 are not getting enough B12, this may be cause for concern to older people. The sooner a B12 deficiency is detected, the better. Delaying treatment for even a year can mean permanent damage if neurological symptoms show up.

Using vitamin B as a supplement with B12

Vitamin B12 supplements are essential to take because even with less stomach acid, the crystalline form of vitamin B12 can still be absorbed into the system at a regular rate. Since vitamin B12 deficiencies can start as early as 30, there’s no reason not to take a B12 supplement or a multivitamin if you aren’t eating healthy. As far as foods go, Vitamin B12 can only be found in animal foods such as meat, chicken, fish, and dairy products. So vegetarians should be especially aware of their vitamin B12 intake and learn more about the benefits of these supplements.

Unlike B12, vitamin B6 is stronger on the immune system.

Vitamin B6 is good for raising the levels of T-cells, T-helper cells, and antibodies: all disease-fighting substances of the immune system. Incredibly though, a lack of vitamin B6 intake is even more widespread than B12. Americans actually take in 50-75% less than the recommended dietary allowance of B6, which can lower the production of antibodies necessary for the immune system to function correctly. Even more alarming is that as people near age forty, the body begins to absorb vitamin B6 less efficiently, further lowering levels of B6.

Using vitamin B as a supplement for a genuine good health improvement

If you don’t get enough B6, you may be more vulnerable to other medical conditions as well. Besides a failing immune system, you may also suffer form a declining mental status, compromised heart health, and maybe even cancer. Vitamin B6 supplements can help fight against enzymes that can destroy blood vessels. Vitamin B6 supplements have also been proven to improve long term memory and slow down age-related memory decline.

Thankfully, the right amount of vitamins B12 and B6 are found in a standard multivitamin. If you are under 40, typically this dosage should correct any vitamin B deficiencies. There’s no guarantee, but 6 micrograms of B12 and 3 milligrams of Vitamin B6 should be enough to correct any vitamin B deficiency. If you are over 40 and suffering a deficiency, a higher dosage is recommended. There is no danger in high doses when taking B vitamins; however, when taking any supplement for medical reasons, you should always consult a doctor.

With vitamin B6 and B12 so easy to get in a multivitamin, it is one of the supplements that you don’t have to worry about taking. This makes vitamin B12 and vitamin B6 two of the most helpful and accessible supplements on the market today.

Using Fish Oil as a Supplement

Using fish oil as a supplement

Using fish oil as a supplement is a practical solution for getting Omega oils daily, without having to prepare fish for the nutritional resource. It is a possible solution for the times when it is not feasible to be preparing fresh fish to consume.

Using fish oil as a supplement or a fresh fish source?

There is no question that people who eat more than eight ounces of fish per week live longer and healthier lives than those who don’t. Study after study shows that fish eaters are more likely to avoid illnesses like heart disease, cancer, arthritis, diabetes, and psoriasis much more than people who only eat one serving of fish per week or less. It has been noted that the Japanese, who holds the world’s record for longevity, eat three times more fish than people in many other countries.

So what about those of us who don’t get enough fish in our diets?

The prognosis isn’t great. Non-fish eaters run a thirty percent higher risk of contracting serious illnesses like heart disease and cancer. This is not good news for people who don’t like fish or want to eat it. However, you don’t have to like to eat fish to enjoy its benefits. As far as vitamins and supplements go, people who take regular doses of fish oil capsules get similar benefits to those people who eat fish 3 times a week.

Using fish oil as a supplement and health benefits

Most of the benefits derived from fish oil supplements are from their high content of omega 3 fatty acids. Omega 3 fatty acids discourage the formation of hormone-like agents called prostaglandins. Prostaglandins are the perpetrators that destroy arteries and joints and also encourage cancer. One of the ways that fish oil supplements get rid of prostaglandins is by replacing the harmful omega 6 fatty acids that are probably already in your system.

Using fish oil as a supplement and Omega 3

Omega 6 fatty acids come from vegetable oils like corn oil that are in fried foods. If you eat a lot of corn oil or other vegetable oils, fish oil supplements are needed to get rid of the free radicals and prostaglandins these vegetable oils are creating in your body. Please note that olive oil is different because it contains omega 3 fatty acids and is a healthy compliment to fish oil capsules. Taking olive oil and Vitamin E along with fish oil supplements is a healthy way to get rid of the Omega 6 fatty acids if you over-consume vegetable oils like corn oil.

Using fish oil as a supplement should be a high-quality grade

The benefits of taking fish oil supplements are significant. Taking fish oil supplements on a regular basis can reduce the risk of heart attacks significantly. Fish oil supplements keep the arteries from aging and also keep them less clogged. Fish oil supplements can also ward off Type II diabetes, theoretically by helping prevent glucose intolerance. One study shows that people who consumed more fish oil supplements had half the risk of experiencing a stroke, due to thinner blood and fewer blood clots. Daily doses of fish oil supplements have also been proven to decrease the risk of colon cancer, breast cancer, and lung cancer by suppressing abnormal cell growth significantly.

Having more fish oil in your system will provide more health benefits in the long run. However, if you don’t like eating fish, fish oil supplements are a satisfactory substitute. Researchers seem to agree that it’s best to take about 1,000 milligrams of fish oil supplements per day if you want to help prevent illnesses like heart disease or high cholesterol. If you’re going to take any more fish oil than this, you will need to get a doctor’s advice.

Using fish oil as a supplement that doesn’t smell fishy

Of the many vitamins and supplements available, fish oil supplements seem to correct the health problems of people who do not like to eat fresh fish or do not have it readily available. Fish oil supplements are a convenient way to get all of the value of the Omega 3 fatty acids without having to go through the trouble of buying and preparing fresh fish.

Myths about Vitamins and Supplements

Myths about Vitamins and Supplements

Myths about vitamins and supplements when it comes to vitamins and supplements, there is so much misinformation out there that it is hard to know what to believe about them. There are many false claims from manufacturers, self-proclaimed health gurus with misleading information, and all of the sorts of well-meaning people who just don’t know what they are talking about. Combined with the desire for people’s need to believe that vitamins and supplements will perform miracles for them, many myths and misunderstandings have developed surrounding vitamins and supplements.

Myths about vitamins and supplements explained

Myth #1: Vitamins and supplements cure disease.

Facts: Vitamins and supplements can help prevent disease, help cure disease, and help lessen the effects of illness; but vitamins and supplements alone cannot cure disease. No one who is seriously ill should ever take vitamins in place of prescribed medication or medical care. The main benefit of vitamins and supplements is their preventative nature. For example, if you have a history of cancer in your family, you might want to take beta carotene to prevent the disease before you have any signs of it.

Myth#2: Vitamins and supplements are not medication.

Facts: While many people take vitamins and supplements seriously, there are others who make them like candy, and don’t feel like they have any significant effect. The truth here lies somewhere in the middle. While technically vitamins and supplements are not medication, when taken in the right doses, they can take on the same qualities. Studies that researchers conduct with higher doses of vitamins and supplements show that these kinds of treatments can have almost the same effect as real medication. Taken liberally, they can interfere with other drugs and have serious side effects. So, while technically vitamins are not medicine, they should be taken like they are.

Myth#3: You can’t take too many vitamins and supplements.

Facts: This is entirely false. Several vitamins and supplements can be deadly when taken in high doses or for too long a period. Vitamins A and D, niacin, and iron can all have adverse effects, resulting in liver damage, heart disease, loss of nerve function, and increased risk of cancer. Other supplemental overdoses can cause milder medical problems like diarrhea, stomach pain, and sleeplessness. Taken together in large doses, some vitamins will also cancel each other out. For example, too much extra zinc can zap the effects of any copper you might be taking.

Myth#4: Vitamins are all the same.

Facts: Just because a substance is labeled “Vitamin C” doesn’t mean that it will have the same potency as every other “Vitamin C” on the shelf. For example, researchers have questioned whether synthetic vitamin C is as effective as vitamin C produced from rose hips or other natural substances. Vitamins come in so many different forms and from so many various sources that it is important to read the label and also to be an educated shopper. This way, you will get the vitamins you need in the right form and potency.

Myth#5: Everything on the label is accurate.

Facts: The only thing that is true about any vitamin or supplement is what you read from independent studies or literature. Many manufacturers make claims based on research or information that is not accurate to make sales. If the label on a vitamin or a supplement makes claims that don’t sound believable, then they probably aren’t. Many of these claims are formed so that the price can be jacked way up for the manufacturer to make a big profit. Save your money. Just because a supplement costs twice as much as the others, doesn’t mean that it will work better.

Myth#6: Vitamins and Supplements can replace healthy eating.

Facts: You can’t live on junk food and take a daily supplement and think that it will do anything. If you eat nothing but junk food and take a multivitamin every day, the only thing that it will do for you makes you feel less guilty about your bad eating habits. Supplements are just what they say they are: supplementary to healthy eating. They are definitely not a replacement for it.

Introduction to Vitamins and Supplements

Introduction to Vitamins and Supplements

Introduction to vitamins and supplements is a good idea especially if you haven’t ever used vitamins or supplements before to increase your nutritional needs on a daily basis, finding the vitamins you need to take can be confusing. Deciding which vitamins or supplements to take or how much will be helpful to your health is a difficult decision because there are so many brands available these days. The quality of these vitamins and supplements is also hard to measure because so many of the brands may be unfamiliar to the average consumer. Thus, the best way to start learning about the vitamins and supplements that may be beneficial to your health is to just start reading about them.

Introduction to vitamins and supplements and where to start

Vitamins and supplement are nutritional enhancements that include a wide variety of products and are available at almost any store. Generally, vitamins and supplements are classified as items for consumption that are composed of, derived from, or byproducts of foods that are considered to provide a multitude of health benefits. This definition also includes vitamins and supplements that are synthetically manufactured to recreate the same properties of these food derivatives. The health benefits of vitamins and supplements are based on uses in both traditional medicine and modern research.

Introduction to vitamins and supplements to improve overall health

Vitamins and supplements can be used for a variety of purposes. The can be high in certain nutrients, may use to cure a specific ailment, or be taken for an overall increase in general health. While most vitamins are trusted for their health benefits, you have to be careful that you don’t raise your expectations too high when you start taking them. This is because some manufacturers make false claims as to how helpful their vitamins and supplements will be. Remember that while vitamins and supplements can benefit your health in many ways, they aren’t necessarily miracle cures. If a manufacturer makes claims that seem too good to be true, they probably are.

Introduction to vitamins and supplements tablets, capsules, liquid, powder and more.

Vitamins come in every shape and form including tablets, capsules, powders, liquids, jellies, creams, wafers, etc. Because vitamins and supplements are primarily derived from food, their potency and shelf life will vary. Always check the expiration date before buying any vitamins or minerals. Also, look at the way the product has been stored on the shelf. What kind of packaging is it in? Is it stored in direct sunlight or under fluorescent lighting? Is the store cooled and heated properly? All of these factors will affect the potency of the vitamins or supplements you would like to purchase. So make sure that the vitamins you buy are stored correctly.

Introduction to vitamins and supplements for nutritional needs

If you don’t understand how to use a particular vitamin or supplements ask questions. The person at the store where you are buying your vitamins and supplements may just be a clerk and have no working knowledge of what they are selling; so you may have to ask a friend or your doctor about the effect of certain vitamins. If you don’t have anyone to ask, you will have to rely on the product labeling and the information that you find on the internet or local library to answer your questions. Make sure to take a dosage of the vitamin or supplement that will be effective for your intended purposes, but make sure that you do not take too high of a dosage. Vitamin and supplements in large doses can be harmful. Also, find out if the vitamins that you are going to be taking will interfere with any other medication you might already be taking.

You may be uncomfortable taking vitamins and supplements at first, and you may not get the same effect from them right away as you would from traditional medicine. This is perfectly normal. The positive effect of vitamins and supplements happens gradually; unlike traditional medication, which can have an immediate effect. Also, if you tell someone that you are taking a vitamin or supplement for an illness, they might not understand why you are not taking medication. The main thing to remember is that whether you take vitamins and supplements for general health or specific reasons, stay educated on the positive effects they can have on your health and on your quality of life.

Holiday cheer and a happy new year 2016

Holiday cheer and a happy new year 2016

Holiday cheer and a happy new year 2016 is a positive attitude of the mind and a gesture of kindness to everyone everywhere. The transition of the past year to the New year is a time of transition, it is also a great moment in time to bring about changes and to make changes stick for ever.  Al it takes is a conscious mind, desire for a change, t practical steps to bring it to reality and the determination to see it come to existence.   Changes are inevitable, changes happen all around us in the natural environment, whether changes brought about by new birth of plants in the spring and the summer season, or the death of the old plants of the past summer season, whatever the situation changes are inevitable and they are every where.

There is one place where changes sometimes do not seem to make any changes, that is in the human mind.  But that may be caused by a an obstinate stubborn attitude to keep everything the same as they have been in their life experience.  Maybe the fear of change is keeping things in the shape and form that appear to be secure and familiar to the senses.  Habits are not easy to change, it does take a desire and the will from inside to make changes possible.

A Natural spiritual life is full of changes.

People should learn and evolve in their spiritual life over time, it is only natural to keep learning and evolving over the cause of life. The spiritual life is like a river that keeps on flowing with fresh water, why would anyone block the flow of fresh water?  Some may try and horde it all to themselves, but that is self deception.  The right way to live is to share the spiritual life with others so that the river of spiritual life keeps on flowing.  That is a practical principle in sharing with others. Hording is bad news, sharing is Good News. So do share ideas and what ever talents that you with others, that way your talents keep on developing and evolving over time.  You can read the same principle in the Old book (Bible), about sharing with others, those that do will get more, and those that don’t they will end up having a poor life experience in the end. Therefore if you get the opportunity to share, do so, it will be good for you.

Your talent is God’s gift to you. What you do with it is your gift back to God. – Leo Buscaglia

Holiday cheer and a happy new year 2016

Here is a great Happy New Year poem by William Arthur Ward.

“Another fresh new year is here . . .
Another year to live!
To banish worry, doubt, and fear,
To love and laugh and give!

This bright new year is given me
To live each day with zest . . .
To daily grow and try to be
My highest and my best!

I have the opportunity
Once more to right some wrongs,
To pray for peace, to plant a tree,
And sing more joyful songs!”

Midsummer celebration

Midsummer celebration

Midsummer celebration is a public holiday in the land of Suomi (Finland) it is locally known as the Juhannus celebration. By tradition, it is a bonfire evening, where local organizers will make an effort to build an arrangement of dry wood, sticks, aged timber and dry foliage for a giant bonfire. Usually, the fires are held at the lakeside, on the seashores, and sometimes a raft is built where the bonfires are placed on a floating raft on a lake.

VIDEO.

New life in the Natural environment.

In many ways, the Midsummer celebration is recognition of the natural environment and the uniqueness of the new spring and summer life in the natural environment, in a way re-connecting human soul to back to Nature, or at least giving recognition to Nature for the continues contribution to human survival and happiness. It uses symbols like the fresh birch tree branches and flowers. The branches fresh green are gathered and placed outside the doors of a house and also indoors in water flower vases.

A long tradition in the Nordic countries of the Midsummer celebration and the phenomena of life.

The Midsummer celebrations have a long history in Finland with the early cultural and indigenous pioneers of the Finland region. Before 1316, the summer solstice was called ukko’s celebration (Ukon juhla) after the mythical folklore god named Ukko. In the Karelian tradition, numerous bonfires were burned side by side, the biggest of which was called Ukko-Kokko (the bonfire of Ukko). After the celebrations were Christianized, the holiday became known as Juhannus after John the Baptist. The term “ukko” is also used and synonymous with a description of an elderly man.  The clap on thunder in a thunderstorm in Finland is also called “Ukko-nen,” it alludes to the mythology that the clap of thunder is the voice of the god Ukko.

Summer solstice of the northern hemisphere.

Midsummer celebration also known as St John’s Day, is the period centered upon the summer solstice, and more specifically the Northern European Midsummer celebration that accompanies the actual solstice or takes place on a day between June 21 and June 25 and the preceding evening.
Midsummer celebration is unique in the Northern hemisphere and in Finland.  It is the contrast of the long cold dark winter that brings out the exceptional quality of a pleasant weather summer day without the darkness of the night time, continues warm daylight and the energy of the dynamic natural environment buzz with continues sounds of the singing birds and the fragrance of the natural environment.

Traditional Juhannus celebrations in Suomi.

Juhannus is a well celebrated holiday weekend where most people will go to the rural areas and cottages by the lakeside or visit their parents and relatives to socialize and share meals and drinks while watching the midsummer bonfire.

Summer solstice and sauna.

Another tradition in the land of Suomi is to celebrate the Juhannus sauna, with a fresh vihta made from the new season birch tree branches. The sharing a hot steaming sauna with friends by the lakeside including a new summer season. Grilled sausages and cold beer are often enjoyed after the sauna time. BBQ type outdoors table food contribute to the relaxed atmosphere that most people during the Juhannus celebrate will aim for, it is really the essence of observing and being close to the midsummer festival in the traditional Suomi cultural family atmosphere and close to the natural environment. Family weekend and time with friends spent together celebrating the midsummer festival.
