I have created these digital images and picture galleries under various themes/topics of interest, and a portfolio gallery.  The following Portfolio does showcase some of the work and images that i am passionate about. Most of the digital images in the Portfolio are about the Nordic environment, seasonal changes, regional produce, regional products, culture and cuisine, food and health and tradition and customs.

Digital images of regional products and local farmers market.  By the early tradition Finland like all other Nordic countries have their early humble beginning founded on rural agriculture and regional trade.  Agriculture for the basic needs of the community and produce for export. The farmers markets were much more in demand in the previous century than they are today.  Farmers markets are important feature of the national culture and tradition.

Digital images of prepared food items from the far north regional of north Lapland (and some other regions).  Regional products vary from region to region, the environment has produced and shaped particular fauna and flora according to the climate. The fauna and flora has to adapt to the climate in order to survive.

Digital images from an annual event Baltic Herring festival in Pori (West coast of Finland). Herrings in general have been fished for thousands of years  (Clupea harengus) it has been a very important food source for many (Sprattus sprattus). In Sweden and Finland the herring has various names amongs the shoppers at the markets: Iceland Herring, Gulf of Bothnia Herring, Virgin Herring, Autumn Herring and Spring Herrings.
